The People & Culture Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the People & Culture team in various administrative, advisory and operational tasks. It requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, decision-making abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment. Working closely with the People & Culture Manager the person in this role acts as a trusted advisor to managers and staff on all People & Culture related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant employment law and best practice as well as supporting the outworking of People & Culture Department - led projects, events and initiatives.

 

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with end-to-end recruitment, posting job adverts, conducting phone screens and reference checks, assisting in coordination of interviews.

Timely and accurate processing of transactions to support better customer care and service.

Relating comfortably and building working relationships with people across all levels, functions and locations. 

Planning and aligning work to meet commitments are aligned with organisational goals.

Making good and timely decisions that keep the organisation moving forward.

Developing and maintaining systems and processes, with particular focus on the ELMO platform.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

This position requires:

Education

Relevant tertiary level qualification, such as: Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Psychology, Industrial Psychology

Experience

A proven track record of experience and achievement in a similar role

1-2 years relevant experience

Working knowledge of best practice employee relations processes

Sound knowledge of relevant employment legislation

Core Competencies

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Proficiency in HRIS software

Problem solving 

Administration 

Confidentiality 

Event organising
